World’s Fastest Pumpkin Carver Headlines 2nd Annual Halloween Happening
Phoenix Salon & Spa gave Halloween makeovers to a group of costume-clad kids from Project H.O.M.E., and held a “Steve-Clark-Carved Pumpkin Auction” to benefit charity.
Today, we invited a few kids from Project H.O.M.E.’s Rowan Homes to the salon for a little pre trick or treating prep. Carlos, Stacy and Tiffany donned the girls in shimmer and sparkles, while the boys opted for a more ghoulish guise. Meanwhile, Steve Clark, the Worlds Fastest Pumpkin Carver, entertained everyone with his swift pumpkin carving. He carved a few perfect little pumpkins—one for each of the kids. Then, he carved a couple large pumpkins with more intricate designs for auction.

Gladwyne Assistant Fire Chief John Remillard gets a relaxing manicure from Jane at Phoenix Salon as part of the salon’s Fir Prevention Week Papering. Also invited for massage, facials, haircuts and manicures Oct. 11 were Gladwyne Firefighters Rich Schwarz and Leith Cunningham. Since its inception, the Phoenix Salon & Spa at 1600 Arch St. in Philadelphia has aspired to be a “salon with a cause,” seeking out opportunities to benefit those in need and generate awareness about important causes in the community, according to a salon press release. The event was a chance to promote fire prevention and fire safety to Phoenix Condominium residents and a way to thank firefighters for what they give to our communities each day.
